Dr. Rispoli directs the Family School Community Connections (FSC Connections) lab, where she and her team, along with colleagues, develop and test interventions aimed at increasing emotional competence and family-school connections to improve the lives of children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The team also studies parent engagement and related constructs in children at-risk for developmental disabilities.
Recent work has been published in top-tier journals, including School Psychology Quarterly and the Journal of Special Education. The team regularly presents their research at national conferences, such as the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Rispoli also provides professional development to local and regional organizations in Michigan and other states.
